Sweetgreen Hosts Grand Opening Celebration in Tustin on Tuesday, August 22

Sweetgreen, the mission-driven restaurant brand serving healthy food at scale, joins the Tustin community next Tuesday, August 22. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sweetgreen will host Grand Opening festivities with complimentary activations (while supplies last) at its new location at the Village at Tustin Legacy (15090 Kensington Park Drive #400, off Tustin Ranch Road).

You’re invited to come experience Sweetgreen’s locally sourced, chef-crafted menu during their Grand Opening celebration. Make plans to come early because they will have live music by OC musician Brandon Wildish, and will be celebrating with the following complimentary activations with local vendors: build-your-own Floral Bar from Peaches Floral, coffee from Old Town Tustin’s White Sparrow Coffee, Vegan Cookies from The Secret Baker, “Salad” Beaded Bracelets from Beadiful Jewelry, and Sweetgreen merch giveaways, all while supplies last.

Guests can also enter to win art by Danielle Hutchens, the Southern California artist Sweetgreen commissioned to create four pieces at the Tustin restaurant. Her series is titled Symbolic Seasons, with each piece representing the four seasons, and for the Grand Opening, she will be giving away a mini version of one of the seasons.

We love Sweetgreen because it prioritizes sourcing quality ingredients, with fresh produce delivered each morning for their menu of core and seasonal salads, warm bowls and sides. With the company’s headquarters being in Los Angeles for the last seven years, Sweetgreen has developed deep ties to the state of California, allowing the restaurant brand to build an extensive network of trusted farm partners. Local suppliers for Sweetgreen Tustin include Dynasty Farms (kale), Dwelley Family Farms (sweet corn), Drakes Farm (goat cheese), and Durst Family Farms (heirloom cherry tomatoes), to name a few.

For every meal sold on opening day at the Tustin restaurant (10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.), Sweetgreen will donate a meal to Food Finders to nourish people in Orange County experiencing food insecurity. Food Finders is a nonprofit with a mission to rescue food, reduce hunger, and improve nutrition in Southern California.

For full menu, and pick-up or delivery options, visit order.sweetgreen.com, or download the Sweetgreen app. Customers are now also able to access Sweetpass, Sweetgreen’s new loyalty program, through a dedicated section in the app or website. With the ability to opt into Sweetpass for free, or to upgrade to Sweetpass+ for $10 per month, the program offers customers the ability to earn rewards by opting in to personalized “challenges,” in addition to receiving $3 off daily Sweetgreen digital orders, exclusive access to new menu items and limited-edition merch drops.
